Nic Hazell is a visionary leader with years of experience in community organizing, event planning, and athletic development. Driven by a passion for empowering athletes and uniting communities, Nic’s work at Be More Elite focuses on helping athletes excel beyond the field, inspiring sports enthusiasts, and creating transformative experiences that bring people together.
In addition to his leadership at Be More Elite, Nic is the founder and executive director of the Baltimore City Lacrosse Collective (BCLC), a community impact organization dedicated to redefining what it means to support and uplift a sports community. Under his guidance, BCLC has become a cornerstone of Baltimore’s lacrosse scene, bridging gaps, unifying the collective, and equipping the community with the tools to thrive both on and off the field.
As a longtime lacrosse player and coach, as well as a proud advocate for black athletes and coaches, Nic has earned a reputation as a dedicated mentor, a thorough coach, and a servant leader. His commitment to the sport and the community it serves is a testament to his belief in the transformative power of sports to create lasting change for individuals and communities alike. Whether coaching on the field, hosting events, or building pathways for athletes, Nic’s passion for making a difference is at the heart of everything he does.
When he’s not leading initiatives at BME or BCLC, Nic enjoys coaching and mentoring young athletes, and engaging in community outreach
